Consultation
for MH Professionals
Whether it’s gaining a better understanding of complex trauma and structural dissociation or assisting EMDR trained clinicians in obtaining EMDRIA certification and improving their skill set with an EMDR Consultation, I enjoy assisting clinicians in gaining competency and confidence with this population.
EMDR Consultation
Since being trained in EMDR in 2010, I have used this modality successfully with numerous clients who have had an array of presenting problems. I enjoy being an EMDRIA certified therapist and consultant and am happy to assist you towards accruing hours for basic training, as you work towards certification, or simply to freshen up your skill set. I’ve been fortunate to have been trained by several reputable EMDRIA consultants: Sandra Paulsen, PhD; April Steele, MSc, BCATR; Roy Kiessling, LISW; and Deany Laliotis, LICSW.
For individual EMDRIA consultation, my fee is your 90837 rate. We can meet as frequently as you desire either in person or virtually. Group consultation is oftentimes another option and is offered at a discounted rate depending on number of group members.
Dr. Robin Navarro
As an EMDRIA Certified Therapist and Consultant first trained in 2010, I am committed to ongoing training and implementing the latest standards of care.
Complex Trauma/DID Consultation
- Want to understand structural dissociation?
- Ever have the sense your client has experienced significant trauma, but they have no memory of it?
- Do you have the sense that something just doesn’t seem right, or your client is not responding to treatment as usual?
- Does your client struggle to provide a cohesive narrative?
- Have you been using IFS, but have the feeling your client is talking about something more than parts?
I’m here to help you understand what they didn’t teach you in graduate school! Did you know TF-CBT and standard EMDR can be dysregulating and even cause clients with structural dissociation to decompensate? I’m here to educate you about dissociative disorders, and assist you with case conceptualization, treatment planning, and clinical skills building. I’ll admit it can be a tedious process, but the rewards are intangible. There is a great need in Charlotte, NC and beyond for mental health providers who are competent in working with clients with dissociative struggles. Whether you are looking for a new niche or simply want to better assess structural dissociation in order to refer out, I provide both individual and group consultation. Reach out with any questions!
